Chris Majors and Mike McDowell are preachers of and sent out as Evangelists under the authority of Bible Baptist Church in Oak Harbor, WA which has been ministering and preaching the Gospel in the region for the past 8 years.
Evangelist Chris Majors grew up in Tennessee, and trusted Christ as his Savior at age ten. After running from the Lord during his teenage years, he eventually joined the United States Navy. Following a tour of duty at Lemoore, CA he was transferred to NAS Whidbey Island in 2005. At this time he and his wife (Selena) began attending Bible Baptist Church in Oak Harbor, WA. Selena soon became a believer, and in November 2005 Chris surrendered to the call of God upon his life to preach the Gospel. After completing an enlistment of over five years, he was honorably discharged from the military, and in May 2007 began serving the Lord full time in Bible Baptist Church. Evangelist Michael McDowell grew up in Michigan, where he trusted Christ at the age of 13. He surrendered to God's call into the ministry at the age of 16, and completed Bible Institute by the time of his graduation from high school. In 1995, he married Kami Nickel, whom he met in college. Brother McDowell served at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wildwood, MO from 1997 until 2002, when he accepted the call to pastor First Baptist Church in Fossil, Oregon. His ministry in Fossil lasted 10 years, until God directed him to join Bible Baptist Church in February of 2012. He is excited to be a part of the North Central Washington Baptist Outreach team.
