The Truth at the End of the Rainbow
The rainbow flag has been used as a symbol of those within the LGBTQ community. In the Bible it is a symbol of hope and renewal. Many people are struggling with sexual identity issues, and are asking themselves the question, "Am I gay?" They have this conflict because they feel different from other young men or women. They don't have the same feelings for the opposite sex that "normal" people have. Because of this, they may feel ostracized from their church, friends, and even family. This feeling of being different, without choosing to be different, drives many to despair and even suicide. They may also be told by others that if they "don't like girls" they must be gay, or if they "don't like boys" they must be lesbian. This is a lie. If you are struggling with these thoughts, there is a great truth in the Bible that will set you free.
What is this TRUTH that we find within the Word of God? God wants you to know the truth about who you are and what His plan is for you!
The TURMOIL you're feeling over your sexual identity is not of God. The Bible is clear that God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). God wants you to have peace and joy in your life! (John 15:11; 16:33)
You need to RECOGNIZE that the labels of gay, straight, homosexual, heterosexual, lesbian, etc., are man-made labels. God does not label any of us with these words. God has made you as a man or a woman, and that’s how He sees you! (Genesis 1:27)
You need to UNDERSTAND that you are not broken. God has designed some men and women to have no sexual desires for the opposite sex. They are called eunuchs in the Bible, and many of them are born that way! (Matthew 19:10-12)
The TASK God has for you is awesome! A natural born eunuch is one that God has designed for the special purpose of serving Him! He has given you a gift that allows you to serve Him without distraction and temptations. (1 Corinthians 7:7-8, 32-35)
There is HOPE for those who embrace God's plan. You don’t have to feel bound by guilt. God has paid the ultimate price so that He can justly forgive our sins. We must confess our sins, and be cleansed by His forgiveness, but this is a gift which He freely gives when we come to Him in repentance and faith. (John 3:16-17; 1 John 1:9; Romans 3:21-26) We would love to be able to sit down and show you from God’s word a more detailed explanation of God’s plan for you.
